SET- IELTS Speaking Part 2 by Martin: Describe a library that you visited

Describe a library that you visited.  You should say

- where the library was

- what facilities it had

- why you went there

- and explain whether you found the library useful or not.

Today I'd like to talk about
the library I used to go when I was in college several years ago.

Since it was a private school,
the library was quite small but I think it had all you needed to have a
successful life as a student. The facilities included a computer lab, a writing
lab, a section with cubicles for self-study, and an area with large tables for
group discussions. And if you needed more privacy, they even had small rooms
where students could get absolute silence.

There were several reasons why
I would go to that library. First, it was right next to my dormitory building,
so it only took me a few seconds to get there. Second, before a test, I would
go to my favorite spot in the library to study. That spot was in a corner of
the third floor and next to a large window where I had a bird's-eye view
of the school campus. And third, I would go to the library to do research and
find sources of information for my research papers.

Although relatively small, I
think this library was quite useful for me because I could find all the
necessary materials I needed throughout my school years. I also made use of its
writing lab very often because they had people who could take a look at my work
and give me feedback. That was particularly helpful since English was still a
language I wasn't very familiar with.

    All
in all, this library played an important part in my life as a college student
and I wish I can visit it again some time in the future!
